June 7, 2019Treehoppers – the world’s strangest insect?
Take a look and decide for yourself! In a recent article by National Geographic, treehoppers are profiled in detail exposing their unique features and survival tactics. With approximately 3,200 species of treehoppers, there are variations in body composition, but one thing that remains the same is they are tiny insects – their bodies are no longer than a dime! Because there have been very little research done on the treehopper, there is little to no information on why there are such drastic differences in bodies for each species.
