To produce 1 pound of honey, a Honey Bee colony may travel 50,000 miles!

According to the University of Florida – Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences there are 650 Springtail species in North America, and 3,600 species found worldwide!

There are only 3 types of social insects but over 12,000 species: 2,750 different termite species, 8,800 different ant species and over 1,300 different bee, wasp and hornet (hymenoptera) species.

A little closer to home, there are 40 species of snakes in Georgia and 38 in South Carolina, according to The University of Georgia’s Savannah River Ecology Laboratory.

Estimated damage from Cigarette Beetles:  While no one really knows for sure the exact figure, but many industry leaders placed Cigarette Beetle damage at 250 million in 2010.
